Health and Human Services:  Intake and Referral

Intake Social Workers answer phone calls and meet with the general public to provide information and referral services regarding any and all services available to address identified needs and assist to complete an application for services. The Intake Social Worker is also available to explain the reporting statutes, answer questions regarding agency practices and services and discuss resource and strategies for individuals, families and community.

All Child Protection reports are taken by the Intake Social Worker. Intake Social Workers are available Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm at 320-231-7800.  On-call Social Workers are available to take child protection reports and to address emergency situations:  Call the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office at 320-235-1260. In case of emergency, call 911.

Vulnerable Adult Reports should be made to the Minnesota Adult Abuse Reporting Center (MAARC) 844-880-1574, staffed 24 hours a day.
