Job Posting for Community Health Strategist Planner/SHIP Grant

Kandiyohi – Renville Community Health Board is seeking a Community Health Strategist/Planner for our Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) Grant (employed with Kandiyohi County Health and Human Services).  The strategist will partner with the SHIP Coordinator (employed in Renville County) to plan, implement, and evaluate policy, systems, and environmental population-based community health improvement efforts throughout Kandiyohi and Renville Counties.  This position requires partnering with schools, worksites, communities, and health care providers to achieve system changes that improve health outcomes. This includes: establishing objectives, selecting methods, designing and implementing strategies, evaluating progress and outcomes, and meeting budgetary goals and requirements.  

Candidate should be high energy, flexible and detail oriented with the skills necessary to partner with the community to achieve significant systems change.  The ability to build a grassroots coalition and work with policymakers is a must.  Strong public speaking and writing skills required.  A passion for working to improve the health of our communities is required.  Bachelor’s degree in the Public Health, Nursing, Health Education, Health Administration, Community Planning. Communications or related field with the skillset for this position is required.  

This position is a C41 – the salary range is $27.76 to $40.25 per hour.

FACILITY MAINTENANCE WORKER

 This full time position is responsible for all janitorial, maintenance and housekeeping duties for the County Office Building, County Courthouse and County Library buildings and grounds, including the use and maintenance of power driven equipment. Hours of work will be 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.  High school diploma or equivalent and valid Minnesota driver’s license required. Two years of related janitorial/building maintenance experience and general computer knowledge preferred. This position is classified as A13 with an annual salary range of $38,282 - $55,507 or $18.40 - $26.69 hourly.
