Kandiyohi County is seeking applicants to fill a Deputy Sheriff vacancy. The Deputy Sheriff is responsible for the impartial enforcement of all federal, state and local laws and ordinances; working proactively in the community to prevent criminal activity and traffic enforcement. Responds to motor vehicle crashes, disturbances and emergencies in order to preserve peace and protect lives and property. Applicants must be Post Board eligible or licensed by Post Board at the time of appointment. Must possess Class D driver’s license. Full-time position; rotating shifts that may be subject to differential pay, holidays and weekends required. Base wage is $26.08 per hour.
