Credit Card Payments Now Accepted
We now accept credit card payments (Visa, MasterCard & Discover) for services from the Kandiyohi County Recorders Office through PayGov.us.  Credit Card User Fees:  Under $40 = $1/Over $40 = 2.5%.  Contact our office for additional information at 320-231-6223.

Kandiyohi County Offers New Marriage License Application Process
Couples can complete an on-line marriage application at the Recorder's Office before 4pm daily or by using your home computer or mobile device by completing the steps at the following site:  https://moms.mn.gov/application/welcome  

Completing the on-line application is the first step in applying for a marriage license.  Both applicants must appear at the recorder's office to finish applying for the marriage license and paying the appropriate fee(s).  If you apply outside the office all you need to do is provide your names and information to office staff that you applied online, they can then access the portal and retrieve the application for further processing.


Honor Rewards
The Honor Rewards program is a community service made available through your county's land and public office to thank and acknowledge our nation's veterans for their sacrifices to our country.  This program allows veterans in your community to sign-up to receive an Honor Rewards Card and use this ID Card to receive discounts and benefits at local participating retailers, restaurants and other businesses.  Click here for Press Release.

UCC Changes

Deed Solicitation Scams
Some companies have sent mailings to Minnesota Homeowners that may initially look like a bill from a government agency.  The mailings may attempt to get homeowners to pay upwards of $90 in some cases for a copy of their real estate deed or property profile.  Click here.

Paper CRV's to be discontinued
Beginning October 1, 2014, paper CRV's will no longer be accepted per the Minnesota Department of Revenue.

eWell Disclosure Certificates
The Recorders Office accepts eWell Disclosure Certificates.  For more information see:  

New Fee Increase for Well Disclosure Certifications effective July 21, 2011.  The fee increased from $45 to $50.  This fee increase is a result of a MN Department of Health budget increase in the Special Legislative Session.

Uniform Conveyancing Blanks (Blank Real Estate Forms, i.e. deeds, etc.)
These forms click here   have been approved by the Commissioner of Commerce.  Click on "View a list of available forms".  This list reflects a new numbering and grouping system, better consistency in layout, more instructions and resizing to letter size paper.  The Department of Commerce posts these as a convenience for the public.
