Options to Access Real Estate Records in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota:
1. Information Request
The records in the Kandiyohi County Recorder's Office can be viewed Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 400 Benson Ave SW, Willmar MN 56201.
Searching for documents or obtaining copies of documents back to 1/1/1987 can be done through Tapestry at www.landrecords.net and paying by credit card.
Recording is our first priority. Requests are processed in the order received and as we have time available.
General information of ownership, recent transfers, satisfaction of mortgages or other document requests will be researched back 5 years. Research back beyond 5 years will need to be completed by one of the methods listed below, or by requesting a Tract Inventory or Abstract of Title Update from a private abstract company, title company or researcher. Payment is required prior to our office processing requests. We do accept credit card payments through PayGov.us. Please submit Credit Card Payment Form with your request. Email your request to recorder@KCMN.us or fax to 320-231-6284 and include your name, address, phone number, fax number and email address. A reply for information request will be made within in Minnesota and the Midwest. Fees are assessed to pay for support and maintenance of the system. 2. Tapestry- for the occasional user
